2024 Elite Meeting·Tianjin-Taiwan Youth Roundtable was held in Tianjin
On October 16, 2024, the opening ceremony of the Tianjin-Taiwan Youth Roundtable Conference took place in Tianjin. The theme for this year’s event is “United in Youth, Hand in Hand Towards the Future.” This gathering brought together over 120 young representatives from 15 Taiwanese youth associations, including the All-Taiwan Federation of Trade Unions, the Taiwan Industrial and Commercial Association’s Youth Group, the Taiwan Youth Alliance, and the Beijing Taiwan Association Youth Committee. Participants include Taiwanese youths studying, working, and starting businesses in Tianjin, as well as local youth from Tianjin.
During the conference, several key activities are scheduled: the opening ceremony, a dialogue salon for Tianjin and Taiwan youth, and two sharing sessions focused on innovative and integrated development. Participants will also have the opportunity to tour various iconic sites in Tianjin, such as the Tianjin Port, Tianjin Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, Tianjin Cultural Center, the Tianjin Museum, the National Maritime Museum, Tianhou Palace, the Ancient Culture Street, the Huangyaguan Great Wall, and Dule Temple. These experiences aim to immerse Taiwanese youths in the cultural charm of Tianjin and offer them insight into modern Chinese history while appreciating traditional Chinese culture.
The Elite Gathering has been a vibrant celebration for Tianjin and Taiwan youth, successfully holding its 12th consecutive event. Through lively exchanges, young people from both regions have established strong friendships and collaboratively forged a promising path for their futures. This year, the conference encourages attendees to share their experiences in education, work, and entrepreneurship, as they actively discuss directions for cross-strait youth communication, innovation, and collaboration, ultimately fostering deeper connections and partnerships.
The conference is jointly organized by the Tianjin Strait Exchange Promotion Association and the Tianjin Youth Federation, with contributions from the Taiwan Youth Alliance, Taiwan Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Association, Chinese Global Youth Elite Association, and the Chinese Cultural and Economic Development Promotion Association.
