Guangzhou double-decker buses add English translation services for overseas buyers

In an effort to enhance services for domestic and international buyers visiting the Canton Fair, staff and volunteers proficient in English have been added to the “Huaxia Bus” and “Yue Tao Bus.” A representative from the Guangzhou Public Transport Group shared that since the opening of the 136th Canton Fair just three days ago, ticket sales for the “Huaxia Bus” have already approached fifty, accounting for 45.79% of total sales for the month, while sales for the “Yue Tao Bus” have surpassed 700 tickets in October alone.

The “Huaxia Bus” features attractive double-decker buses, allowing passengers to enjoy a multi-perspective, immersive view of the beautiful city of Guangzhou. The service seamlessly integrates the city’s traditional morning tea culture with a “one-stop” offering of Cantonese hospitality, showcasing the unique charm of enjoying Cantonese tea and experiencing Guangzhou’s rich cultural heritage.

This route starts and ends at the Huaxia Hotel, covering nearly 13 kilometers and passing through classic areas of Guangzhou, including Taikang Road, Beijing Road, Wanfuz Road, Zhongshan Road, and Yanjiang Road. It connects and interacts with nearly twenty cultural and tourist attractions, such as Haizhu Square, the Beijing Road Pedestrian Street, the Nanyue King Museum, Lychee Bay, Yongqingfang, Shamian Island, and Tianzi Wharf.

On the other hand, the “Yue Tao Bus” offers two unique experiences: a music-themed tea break bus and a gourmet dim sum bus. Passengers on the gourmet bus can savor exquisite Cantonese tea snacks like shrimp dumplings and chicken feet, evoking a relaxed atmosphere of “having tea.” Meanwhile, the music bus features live performances from established bands and musicians, enhancing the fresh Cantonese lifestyle with monthly music themes alongside the culinary delights.

The route also showcases popular landmarks such as the Guangzhou Bridge, Canton Tower, Guangdong Provincial Museum of Fine Arts, Guangzhou Art Museum, and Xinghai Concert Hall, allowing passengers to enjoy the city’s scenery and its rich cultural narrative.

Additionally, new features like foreign language announcements and station introductions have been implemented, providing international visitors a deeper appreciation of the historical charm of the thousand-year-old city and showcasing Guangzhou’s vibrant culture and stunning landscapes.
