The 2024 -Praise to Populus euphratica- autumn cultural tourism series in Aksu region of Xinjiang kicks off
On October 26, the “Poplar Praise” autumn cultural tourism series kicked off in Aksu Prefecture, Xinjiang, featuring the 14th Hu Yang Cultural Series in Shaya County. The event took place at the Tarim River Wetland Tourism Scenic Area, renowned for its pristine poplar forest.
The atmosphere at the opening ceremony was vibrant, drawing visitors from all over with the stunning golden hues of the poplar trees, local delicacies, and a variety of cultural and tourism activities.
During the ceremony, the Shaya County logo and its mascots, “Sha Sha” and “Ya Ya,” were unveiled. Additionally, there was a special promotion for the film “Village Music” and the announcement of a curated travel route titled “Traveling with Films.”
As October unfolds, the 4.7 million acres of primeval poplar forest in Shaya County enters its peak viewing season. Tourists can wander through the forest, immersing themselves in the breathtaking beauty and resilience of the poplars. To enhance the visitor experience, Shaya County has upgraded its facilities, introducing parking areas and shuttle services, while providing various transportation options.
In 2024, Shaya County will further integrate cultural and tourism initiatives, using the poplar tree as a focal point for numerous interactive and engaging activities. This year’s offerings aim to promote poplar culture more effectively, raising both awareness and appreciation.
Muhetar Reheman, Deputy Secretary of the Shaya County Cultural, Sports, Broadcasting, Television, and Tourism Bureau, expressed enthusiasm for developing the tourism industry by leveraging the rich local resources. He encouraged tourists from across the country to explore Shaya.
The 14th Hu Yang Cultural Series in Shaya County will run until November 5.
