The 2024 Jiangxi Province Quarter-Minute Convenience Life Festival kicks off to promote the construction of the Quarter-Minute Convenience Circle

On October 25, 2024, the “15-Minute Convenience Living Festival” kicked off in the Honggutan District of Nanchang, Jiangxi Province, with the theme “Connecting Hundreds of Cities and Thousands of Circles for a Convenient and Better Life.” This event emphasizes the development of 15-minute convenience living circles aimed at enhancing daily life for residents.

The 15-minute convenience living circle focuses on community residents, aiming to meet their basic and quality consumption needs within a walking distance of about 15 minutes. It thrives on a diverse array of businesses clustered together to create vibrant community shopping areas.

During the festival, activities were organized under the approach of “government creating the stage, businesses taking the lead, collaborative efforts from various parties, and residents benefiting.” The event featured a display area showcasing the achievements of the 15-minute convenience living circle, along with promotional zones featuring various services including traditional brands, home appliances, automobiles, quality goods, and culinary experiences.

Notably, established businesses showcased and promoted their products, bringing high-quality goods and services directly to residents’ doorsteps. Home appliance companies participated in a trade-in promotion, while automobile dealers provided information on vehicle recycling and replacement policies. Numerous food stalls attracted significant attention from visitors.

Leiang Xiaokang, a member of the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Commerce, described the festival as a re-mobilization and re-implementation of the province’s initiative to promote the 15-minute convenience living circles. He encouraged communication and collaboration between local business departments across the cities in the province to enhance the quality and integration of these living circles, highlighting their role in improving people’s livelihoods and boosting consumption.

An Baojun, a member of the Nanchang Municipal Committee and Deputy Mayor, noted, “The 15-minute convenience living circle gathers small businesses that contribute significantly to the community’s livelihood.” He pointed out that this festival presents an opportunity for Nanchang to maintain its commitment to high-standard planning, construction, and promotion, ensuring that ongoing improvements in the convenience living circles are deeply solidified.

Looking ahead, by the end of 2025, Jiangxi aims to establish well-organized, comprehensive, and efficient convenience living circles that are user-friendly and harmoniously integrated with residential areas.

This event was co-hosted by the Jiangxi Provincial Department of Commerce and the Nanchang Municipal Government, with the Nanchang Municipal Bureau of Commerce and the Honggutan District Government overseeing its execution.
