Zenith General Insurance Donates to Lagoon School Library Project

In a recent development, Zenith General Insurance made a generous cash contribution to the Lagoon School Library project in honor of this year’s International Day of the Girl Child. This donation is a clear indication of the company’s commitment to empowering individuals within the communities they serve.
International Day of the Girl Child is celebrated worldwide every October 11. This year’s theme is “Girls’ Vision for the Future.”
Ugonwa Ohuche, the Head of the Primary Section at Lagoon School, expressed her gratitude for the donation during a ceremony to receive the funds. She praised Zenith Insurance for their thoughtful gesture, calling it commendable and impactful. “The donation made by Zenith Insurance to Lagoon School is such a lovely gesture. It is laudable; the funds directed to the School’s Library project will have a positive effect on our students,” Ohuche stated.
She added, “As this is a girls’ school, we are celebrating ‘Girls’ Vision for the Future.’ Supporting the Library project will benefit every girl at Lagoon School, especially in the Primary section. We are investing in the future of the girl child and laying a foundation for generations to come.”
Ohuche also took the opportunity to encourage other corporate organizations to follow Zenith Insurance’s lead. “I want to urge other companies to take a page from Zenith General Insurance by engaging in ongoing projects at various girls’ schools that can truly empower women and girls, particularly in Nigeria,” she commented.
Edith Agu, Senior Manager of Marketing and Branch Head for the Head Office and South-South Regions, elaborated on the motivation behind the donation. She highlighted that Zenith General Insurance is dedicated to the future of the girl child and is sensitive to gender issues, underlining the company’s commitment to social responsibility.
