It is the harvest season in Heilongjiang and 75.967 million acres of crops have been harvested

On October 8, the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs announced that the region is deep into its harvest season. As of October 7, an impressive 75.97 million acres of crops have been harvested throughout the province.

The fields of Heilongjiang are alive with activity as the harvest season reaches its peak. On October 5, the last harvesting machine concluded its work at the Beidahuang Group’s Wudalianchi Farm, successfully wrapping up the soybean harvest over 92,000 acres. Interestingly, one section in the third plot of the second operational area yielded an astonishing 598 pounds per acre across 637 acres, marking a new historical high.

The panorama of golden corn fields creates a breathtaking landscape. With fully mechanized harvesting operations in play, the atmosphere is buzzing with a sense of bountiful yield. Zhang Chunyu, Deputy Director of the Agricultural Development Department at the Beidahuang Group’s Erlongshan Farm, explained that their team has been focused on maximizing efficiency and has already harvested 50% of their corn crop. They expect to complete the full harvest of 166,000 acres by October 15.

Ongoing agricultural assessments from the Heilongjiang Provincial Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs reveal that a total of 71.4 million acres of food crops have already been gathered. This includes 19.35 million acres of rice, 13.13 million acres of corn, 37.07 million acres of soybeans, 989,000 acres of various grains and legumes, and 448,000 acres of potatoes. Additionally, the province has harvested 4.57 million acres of economic crops and forage.
