NBA star Dinwiddie moves to Dallas, sells Sacred Valley mansion for $7.7 million
Spencer Dinwiddie, who was traded from the Mavericks to the Raptors and then joined the Lakers last season, is returning to the Dallas Mavericks as a fully unrestricted free agent this offseason. As the new season approaches, Dinwiddie plans to list his luxurious home in the San Fernando Valley for $7.7 million, with the intention of acquiring property in Dallas.
Records show that Dinwiddie purchased this modern craftsman-style residence for $6.9 million in 2022. Nestled within an exclusive gated community situated between Malibu and Calabasas, the neighborhood comprises only 26 homes. After a brief tenure with the Lakers, he has opted to sell this mansion at the same price as the original listing from 2022.
This stunning property is discreetly located at the end of a long gated driveway and sits atop over an acre of elevated land. According to the listing, the home was meticulously crafted in 2021 by an experienced and skilled Southern California builder and features a deep beige exterior complemented by white accents, a spacious driveway, and a four-car garage.
With a total interior area of 7,200 square feet, the house boasts five bedrooms and seven bathrooms, adorned with high ceilings, red oak flooring, natural stone details, and Italian lighting. Multiple balconies and terraces provide seamless indoor-outdoor connectivity, offering breathtaking views of the Santa Monica Mountains.
As guests arrive, they are welcomed by an elegant porch supported by stone columns above the wooden front door, with gas lanterns creating a warm ambiance. The foyer showcases a winding wrought-iron staircase leading to a living room enhanced by wooden beam ceilings, a floor-to-ceiling stone fireplace, and a wet bar complete with a wine storage area.
Additional amenities include a formal dining room and a cozy family room featuring a fireplace, which connects to a designer kitchen through a casual dining area. This gourmet kitchen is equipped with a generous island, butcher-block countertop, and top-of-the-line Gaggenau appliances. Sliding glass doors open to an outdoor dining and entertainment terrace, complete with its own fireplace.
The main level also features an office space, while the upstairs master suite spans approximately 1,000 square feet and includes a fireplace, sitting area, private balcony, custom walk-in closet, and an opulent bathroom with dual vanities, a walk-in shower, soaking tub, and a separate makeup area. Additionally, the upper level houses three more bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, and a lounge area.
The resort-style outdoor space includes an infinity pool, spa, outdoor kitchen, and a fire pit area with stairs leading to a gazebo. The home is further equipped with a Crestron smart home system to enhance convenience and enjoyment.
Dinwiddie, who played for both the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers last season, has signed a new contract with the Dallas Mavericks, marking his return to the team he previously played for during the 2021-2022 season.
