North Korea stirs up controversy by sending troops to war, and South Korea is rumored to be considering sending people to monitor Ukraine_1

Reports indicate that South Korea is contemplating the possibility of sending personnel to Ukraine to monitor the movements of North Korean troops stationed there. Recent intelligence shared by both Ukraine and South Korea has suggested that North Korea is dispatching troops to assist Russia in its military operations against Ukraine.

On October 22, South Korean government sources revealed that a decision is being considered to deploy personnel specifically to observe the tactics and operational capabilities of North Korean special forces in Ukraine, which number around 1,200 and have been sent to Russia’s far eastern region.

According to the Korea Herald, this potential team would likely consist of military personnel from South Korea’s intelligence agency, capable of analyzing North Korean military tactics or even participating in interrogations of captured North Korean soldiers.

Additionally, the South Korean government is also weighing the option of providing weaponry support to Ukraine. This shift in policy suggests a possible transition away from direct lethal aid. Sources indicate that as the situation regarding North Korea and Russia’s military collaboration evolves, South Korea will gradually implement responsive measures, prioritizing defensive weaponry over lethal assistance, while any lethal support would likely be provided through indirect means.
