The Israeli army issued another evacuation order. Gaza people- they were forced to move 20 times. They did not let anyone go.

On the 12th of this month, the Israeli military issued another evacuation order, urging residents in northern Gaza to leave, plunging displaced individuals further into panic.

Just a week earlier, Israeli forces had intensified military operations in northern Gaza, particularly around Jabalia and its surrounding areas, which have been subjected to relentless airstrikes and artillery fire. An Israeli military spokesperson took to social media to instruct local Palestinian residents to move southward to Mawasi. However, for many displaced individuals, this is not the first time they have been forced to flee, and the promised safety from the military remains elusive. The long-awaited ceasefire still seems far away.

One displaced individual, Bassam, expressed his despair, saying, “This is at least our twentieth forced relocation. This morning, the military dropped flyers ordering us to evacuate, and soon after, they began shelling. They spared no one. Our children are dead, our homes have been destroyed, and we are homeless—with not enough tents to go around.”

As he reflects on over a year of upheaval, Bassam appears lost. He is calling for the international community to take stronger action to facilitate a ceasefire.

“We urge everyone, especially the silent Arab and Western nations, to act swiftly to end this conflict and stop the ‘genocide’ in Gaza, so that we may be spared from further displacement,” Bassam stated.
